Peter Samuelson, President
Peter is a graduate of Yale Law School and a former management consultant with McKinsey & Company. He developed the idea for LRAP Association while serving on the Board of Directors of a private liberal arts college that was searching for ways to increase enrollment and help more students attend their first-choice college.
Justin Mead, Chief Operating Officer
Justin has served in a variety of executive roles in the insurance and financial services industries with a specific focus on the financing of risk. Before joining LRAP, Justin directed the strategy and business development of Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings’ captive insurance operations in the United States. Prior to that, Justin oversaw the administration of $22 billion worth of securitization and credit derivative products for ABN Amro/LaSalle Bank’s Global Securities Trust Services group. With LRAP, Justin oversees the operations, including underwriting, finance and systems. Justin is a proud graduate of Coe College and a firm believer in the value of higher education.
Matt Osborne, Vice President of Client Service
Matt serves the needs of our clients and their students, bringing with him 30+ years of experience in higher education, and a passion for helping students pursue their callings. He previously served as the Vice President of Enrollment at Spring Arbor University, where he helped increase their main campus undergraduate enrollment by over 60% with LRAP. Matt supports Team LRAP’s product development initiatives, and continually strives to improve the program to better meet the needs of our students and colleges.
Jennifer Trauman, Vice President of Client Service
Jennifer Trauman has spent her career helping schools and families find ways to make higher education more affordable. She brings varied and in-depth experiences from the student finance arena: as both a lender and payment facilitator representative, a financial aid administrator, and in her role on the staff for the U.S. Department of Education’s Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance.
Most recently Ms. Trauman served as a Regional Sales Manager for Tuition Management Systems – focusing on providing technology and expert support services for the entire education payment continuum. Previously she served as a Regional Sales Director with Access Group, a non-profit graduate and professional lender, where she presented regularly to administrators, students and industry partners in the areas of financial literacy and borrower education. Ms. Trauman is a former Associate Director of Financial Aid at Georgetown University Law Center, where she coordinated their LRAP program. She was also a member of the financial aid staffs of Brooklyn Law School and New York University. She earned her B.A. in Accounting from Indiana University and an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from New York University.
Jonathan Shores, Vice President of Client Service
Jonathan Shores has worked for the past 17 years in Higher Education, previously having served as Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment at Montreat College, Assistant Professor of Marketing and Director of the Research Triangle Park Campus for the University of Mount Olive, and at Plattform, as the Vice President of Marketing and Enrollment. He uses his extensive background in strategic enrollment management and marketing to help our clients maximize their LRAP successes. Jonathan is a proud and active member of the United States Air Force Reserves, and has deployed to 38 countries throughout the world. Jonathan earned his undergraduate degree in Trust and Wealth Management and his MBA in Marketing from Campbell University, and has completed his PhD in Marketing at Northcentral University.
Adam Huh, Director of Client Service
Adam serves the needs of our clients and their students, bringing with him 20+ years of experience in higher education, church ministry and corporate. Specifically, his background in enrollment management, working with both non-traditional and traditional students, will help our clients best maximize their LRAP successes. Adam is honored to be part of LRAP Association’s mission to make the life-changing power of high education accessible to all students, regardless of their socio-economic background. Adam earned his undergraduate degree from Purdue University and his graduate degree from Trinity International University.
Jessica Dalton, Student Service Manager
Jessica works with students and families to answer questions and provides the resources they need to succeed, while helping guide graduates through the assistance process. She brings 14+ years of customer service & office administration to the LRAP team with a passion for helping students achieve their goals through higher education and pursue their dreams.
Josh David, Associate Vice President of Student Service
Josh works with students and families interested in learning more about the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP), while ensuring that graduates have the assistance needed to succeed. He also oversees LRAP Association’s student and family communications, with a focus on student experience and education. Josh has an extensive background in entrepreneurial start-ups across both for- and non-profit sectors, and brings an innovative perspective to the team, forwarding product and organizational development. Josh is proud graduate of Indiana University.
Phil Janeteas, Director of Student Service
Phil oversees the Student Service department of LRAP Association, while researching new ways to improve our systems and provide the highest level of service to the students and families benefiting from our program.
He brings with him a passion for customer service and believes in the life-changing power of higher education having spent his career in various education related roles.
Phil earned his MBA from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management and his Bachelor of Science In Economics from Purdue University.
Ryan Trout, Senior Director of Client Service
Ryan serves the needs of our clients and their teams, ensuring all training and support needs are met, and they have the skills and experience needed to maximize the impact of LRAP for their students and families. He brings 5 years of enrollment management experience to Team LRAP, having served both traditional and non-traditional students in both graduate and undergraduate segments. He previously served as a director of admissions at a private liberal arts college, where he used LRAP to help students overcome the fear of student loans. Ryan joined the LRAP team to help increase access to the life-changing power of higher education. Ryan is a proud graduate of Wheaton College.
Rachelle Johnston, Director of Client Service
Rachelle was awarded LRAP in 2010, which allowed her to finish her undergraduate degree, and is thrilled to now be taking part in its mission. She supports our clients and their teams by ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to maximize the benefits of LRAP. Her background is in financial aid, payroll and internet sales, and is a proud graduate of Judson University. Drawing from own experience, Rachelle is excited at the prospect of furthering her passion for higher education by helping other students benefit from LRAP.
Stefanie Ramirez, Client Service Manager
Stefanie serves the needs of our clients and their students by ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to maximize the benefits of LRAP. She graduated from ECC with an associate in Arts. She brings 11+ years of business experience and joins the LRAP team with a passion for helping students graduate from their first choice university and pursue their dreams.
Sara Sharp, Student Services Manager
Sara works with students and families to answer questions and provides the resources they need to succeed, while helping guide graduates through the assistance process. She utilizes her strong background in management, accounting, and administration to support our students and team. Sara is a proud graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University.
Dr. Blair Dowden is President Emeritus at Huntington University, which was the first institution in the country to offer LRAP to all incoming students. He has served on the executive committee of NAICU, was board chairman of both the CCCU and the NAIA, and has held membership on the ACE board. Additionally, Dr. Dowden has been a strategic advisor to presidents across the country, and a consultant and advisor on numerous regional accreditation teams.
Carroll’s passion for increasing access to college began in the late 1980s, when as the Associate Dean at Yale Law School he co-founded one of the first LRAP programs in the country. Since then he has been involved in numerous entrepreneurial ventures, including the strategic development and launch of a global division at Mott MacDonald, where he served as the Senior Vice President of their Management Consultancy, and was the thought leader for their North American education reform work. He also co-founded Achievement First, one of the nation’s premier charter school networks. Carroll has held governance and leadership appointments at six colleges and universities and currently serves as an honorary Fellow at Regent’s Park College at Oxford University.
Jill was a Partner in a top tier management consulting firm and, since then, has served in a variety of executive leadership positions in large consumer product and service companies. Most recently she was Chief Operating Officer of one of the largest providers of higher education.
Kurt has spent the last 20 years gaining valuable experience in a wide variety of areas of Information Technology, and advises LRAP Association in their technology infrastructure development. He is currently a Systems Engineer at Openlink.
Stephen developed and managed the Yale Law School LRAP while serving as Associate Dean there. He is now Associate Dean at Peking University School of Transnational Law – Shenzhen.
Paul served as Executive Vice President at Sallie Mae. Paul is currently Chairman of Campus Partners.
